I’m still not where I would like to be in answering that question, but I find the older I get, the closer I get and maybe that’s the point of the time we’ve been allotted…
In addition to “each breath is a gift”…Here it is my list of a bakers dozen: God, Family, Home, Pets, Beautiful Nature, Being Grateful, Being Kind, Shining Joy, Respecting Honor, Walking, Design, Music, Dreams of Cookies…my Cup Runs Over and there is more…How Much Time?…it is continually, encompassed in my daily life…keep weaving…
Thanks…I see, Life as a privilege…it is a choice to be fully immersed…often I fall so short in the balancing of times, ebb and flow…I think of how different my life would be and what I would find important, if I was homeless, hungry and often without contact of fellow humans or pets…would I still be the same person at the core?? Would I have healthy attitudes when faced with discrimination & disdain from others?? Life has so many constraints to work with and how differently people, value this gift…and how some value this gift with such nefarious actions, in disregard to others…why do some feel the need to attempt to control and hold power, impacting negatively another individually or impacting the horror on the masses?? Can we not try to understand the beauty of individuality?? We all have gifts to further betterment…there is much Positive Power in a smile, a kind word, a hug, a helping hand and in knowing what discernment means and knowing that passing judgement isn’t our place…/// I keep finding myself reflecting on this the past few days and the thought of, knowing when to yield stands out…”To every thing there is a season,”…Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
This statement landed. Hard. “if I was homeless, hungry and often without contact of fellow humans or pets…would I still be the same person at the core?”
Well damn, nothing like an innocuous 3×5 index card to stop ya dead in your tracks! I’m afraid I’m not where I’d like to be either, but exercises like these get me closer to the goal….
The way I’d like to go on living in this world
wouldn’t hurt anything, I’d just go on
walking uphill and downhill, looking around,
and so what if half the time I don’t know

Five?
I only have three on my list…
To Live, to Love, and to Learn.
I try to give it a 100% of my time!

I created a post with the same thought process showing people how little time they spend doing the things in life they consider IMPORTANT!

Laughing. So true. Takes a 3×5 card to send a wake up call.
