Lightly child, lightly.

I may become, in time, slightly more eccentric all the time. I may begin to wear outlandish hats, feathered and sequinned and rosetted, …. And all the kids will laugh, and I’ll laugh, too, in time. I will be light and straight as any feather. The wind will bear me, and I will drift and settle, and drift and settle. Anything may happen, where I’m going.

  1. What Sandy Sue said…and add in a hearty dose of free and ever increasing authenticity.

And,, I re-read what you wrote as the inspiration for these “lightly” posts and it just resonates with me. I read that and realize I’ve been moving (slowly) in that direction and it jives with my ‘less is more’ value. Thanks!

  2. … “And all the kids will laugh, and I’ll laugh, too, in time. I will be light and straight as any feather. She sounds, charming, true to herself & fun, like the spunky, girl, Romona Quimby the protagonist, in the Beverly Cleary’s children books.
