The Fitbit has helped motivate me to walk. I don’t often reach the goal of 10,000 steps a day, but I’ve been making at least 5,000 or 6,000 this hot summer by walking very late at night, when it’s not so hot. Lucky for me, I live in a place where you can walk safely outside late at night, even after midnight. — John
Mine is set for 12,000. Most days I hit 20,000 to 22,000 by bedtime.
But, every now and then I go through the day in under 500. Don’t ask me what I do on those days.
I gave my car to my stepdaughter for the whole month of June. She had to work two hours away from the city.
It changed my life.
I walk for groceries everyday, one of the blessings of my neighborhood is that everything is within walking distance. I make sure to zigzag in the allies. I used to do 10 loads of laundry every second week driving to the laundromat. Now I do one every second day walking there.
Long live the Fit Bit!

Thanks for sharing John. The step counter(s) (I’ve tried several brands) have all prodded me to get moving….

20000. Daily? What do you do to get so many steps in. Do you translate and dog walk at same time?

Other than Cookie Jam, I love my phone most for keeping all my lists in one place and ON me. Not that I look at them once written …

Interesting. I have tried lists. To do lists of all types. They never stuck. I lacked the discipline.
