What are we in the end?
Stories written on our spine,
a heart that broke too many times,
the mind that carries so many years,
the love that drove us insane,
the darkness that never left,
the light that entered,
the moments that left us with no words.
What are we?
Everything that sits silently right in the middle of our soul
that nothing ever can take away.
~ Kriti, What are we?

I absolutely love this..

we are a well-worn and faded and comfortable pair of old leather shoes, full of lines and bends and yet somehow softer and stronger at the same time.

This one struck me like a 2 X 4 on the side of the head. Take 20 seconds and read this. Thanks to DK and his “Lightly Child, Lightly” series.
