  1. Smothering love at times, but it needn’t be that way if the person being worried about would be more conscientious about “checking in.” But again, that’s something the parent has to train the child to do. Lots of hard work!

  2. Oh my. So, so true. I remember the rising anger, the fear, the hugs and tears when my worries were unfounded, followed by the anger. I consider myself fortunate it didn’t end with fears realized and hope someday my children can forbive me for my my irrational moments. And look forward to trying to calm them down when it’s their turn to experience those moments.

  3. Looking back, it was so easy when they were so little and the only problem was that I didn’t sleep for about 4 years.
    This worry is much worse.
